Background: Development of a National Dashboard System as a Decision Support System for the

Directorate General of Plantations

The development of the National Plantation Dashboard is intended to provide an informative and interactive data visualization platform that consolidates information from multiple data sources—both at the central and regional levels—into a single integrated system. This dashboard is designed to support monitoring activities, program evaluation, and more accurate and responsive policy formulation within the Directorate General of Plantations.

The dashboard covers four nationally strategic commodities—oil palm, coffee, cocoa, and rice—which play a significant role in Indonesia’s economic growth, food security, and farmer welfare. These commodities were selected due to their high relevance to national plantation development priorities and their substantial contribution to both domestic and export-oriented agricultural sectors.
